Long description: While working on previous projects, I noticed I was going nowhere mostly because I started with the characters’ looks instead of the story. I tried working the other way around and came up with these three projects. Names and visuals are not set in stone; they could very well change once I start working seriously on a story. If one of them appeals to you more than the others, feel free to let me know.
-The Firelance: Since the fall of their greatest warrior, none of the weasel kind can join the ranks of the Dragons knights. Unless, of course, one manages to bring back a true firelance from the lost lands. (It’s the same story as these: zazb.deviantart.com/art/Dragon… zazb.deviantart.com/art/Weasel… zazb.deviantart.com/art/Badger… )
-Trespasser: Dryad, an ancient cyborg and Kaa, a young scavenger ship pilot, have to work together to escape from inside a giant space faring machine.
-A Spell and a Spear: To save the last remnants of her people, a sorceress is tasked with slaying the Sun God. Not an easy task when your only ally is an old and decrepit black knight.

I made my mind on which of those I will work on, so now it's writing time! And possibly an illustration just to let people know what I'm doing
I wonder if you have chosen to go through with any of these yet? I'm just randomly browsing around, as you can see.
If so, i think i'd lean toward wanting to read the second and third ideas, if only because, like other people have said, they both already feature these interesting and dynamic character duos that will drive the action along. Maybe, if you need to practice sci-fi stuff, the sci-fi idea would be better?? I think either of them would be great! & yay writing and drawing! & general yay because cool stuff!
I'm working on choosing which one I'll be doing at the moment
I want it to be decided by the end of the week, so you'll have news pretty soon! (if everything works out)
I'm hard at work choosing one of them at the moment, hopefully you'll see the results soon
I love stories that involve journeys...and talking animals, which is why I'm also interested in "The firelance" (:
I'm very motivated by all these, so there is a good chance of one of them actually happening!
Do you have any completed or unfinished stories written? I'd like to read them if that's ok?
Thanks, by the way and I hope you can get a project of your own
I love sci-fi, and I love fantasy, plus the black knight thing is a refreshing take on the classic quest.
Ancient cyborg would of course be great but the art didn't grab me.
Which leaves a Spell and a Spear, which I love for several reasons. I love stories about wizards who aren't just all powerful. She looks like she has some chops, but also like she's seen a fair amount of trouble. When I first read the title, it struck me as though all she had was the spear, and the black knight was the "spell", as in a golem or some animated armor or something she cast. I thought that was pretty cool! Having only one arm makes it even better, like they've been traveling a while and he's breaking down. I kind of ignored the "last remnants of her people" bit and didn't picture killing the Sun God as the motivation for the entire story, just a first thing (maybe first arc) she's going to do before doing a bunch of other awesome things (like Hercules). I'm interested in finding out what kind of magic she does. I guess on reflection it makes me wonder what somebody like Gandalf would do if there wasn't the world to save and that's really exciting.
I would be happy to see any of them, but there are lots of things I'm curious about with A Spell and a Spear. Well done!
Very glad you like it! It was exactly what I was wanting to do; the sense of wonder and exploration and the relation between two completely different characters.
I think if I had to choose one, I'd say "A Spell and Spear" draws me in the most because of the whole D&D type of fantasy setting. I'm interested to see which one you choose to develop further.
I need to try doing this for my own stories.
Small unimportant detail, if you pay attention to the names, you can see that in Trespasser, both characters are female
As for the fantasy setting I was not sure how people would react to it, because it's pretty common. It's common, but it's fun... so we'll see
If you have stories of your own, I say definitively try it! It's fun and it helped me narrow down some designs. It's also a very good sign if you can narrow down your story to one or two sentences.
And oh, seeing that Trespasser has TWO leading ladies definitely makes it a front runner for me now. Not enough ladies being main characters these days and for some reason I always enjoy seeing these females that are big, tough, and able to kick some butt! As far as fantasy themed stuff goes, I think it's okay for it to be a commonly used setting as long as you put your own little spin on it, which, from your character designs, looks like you shouldn't have too much of a problem doing.
which is to say its amazing...
if I had to go with one I'd go with tresspasser since I'm done on questing...
Mignola always was an inspiration to me
I hear you about the questing, I think it's the weak point of the two fantasy ideas.
